Sunday – August 23rd

12:30pm: Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby

• Registration runs from 12:00–1:00 PM, with batting starting at 1:00 PM at Pinch Park Ballfield. It's free to enter and open to three age categories: up to 11, 12-18, and 19+. Each batter gets 1 minute to hit as many home runs as possible; you can bring your own pitcher, but outside bats aren't allowed. Winners in each age category take home a $100 gift card and a trophy, and concessions will be available on-site.

• We're also looking for volunteers to help the event run smoothly: 2 for the sign-up table, pitchers, 1 timekeeper, 1 scorekeeper, and 6 ball retrievers (3 infield, 3 outfield). Let us know if you're interested in helping out!

1pm – 5pm: Biggest Fish Contest at Indian Fishing Lake

• Winners receive $200/Trophy/ 2 Lake passes

2:30: Basketball Free Throw Competition

• The Basketball Free Throw Competition, sponsored by Poca Valley Bank, takes place August 23 at Pinch Park Basketball Court. Registration is 1:30–2:30 PM, with shooting starting at 2:30 PM (or later if the Home Run Derby runs long). It's free to enter and open to three age categories: up to 11, 12-18, and 19+. Each shooter gets 10 shots to make as many 2-pointers as possible, plus 2 practice throws that won't count toward the total; outside basketballs aren't allowed. Winners in each age category receive a $100 gift card and a trophy, and concessions will be available on-site.

• We're also looking for volunteers: 2 for the sign-up table, 1 scorekeeper, and 3 ball retrievers. Let us know if you're interested in helping out!
